S01E23: What is Product Localization?

Product localization is a relatively less understood and discussed subject within the larger localization and globalization picture. In this episode of the Translation Company Talk, Iti Sahai from Procore, takes a deep dive into what this concept is and how it affects the end user. Imagine the position of the steering wheel on a vehicle in North America versus in the UK, automotive manufacturers have to localize their products to meet the local traffic and regulatory requirements in order to sell their products there.

Among other things, Iti discusses what a product localization team looks like, the people working there and their experiences, as well as the role of vendors and suppliers within this group. We also discuss strategy, relationships, value creation and how to measure it among many other interesting topics.
